Getting GrowthBook running at home
A day spent self-hosting GrowthBook and wiring it into the home infrastructure, plus a config capture and drift backfill.
Today’s work was all homelab infrastructure.
I set up GrowthBook self-hosted and got it running behind a /gb/ proxy path, then worked through setting up a basic test/experiment in it to make sure the install actually works end to end.
Alongside that, I captured the live config across a handful of pieces — the LAN alias script, notification script, Caddy and nginx configs, cloudflared tunnel config, and cron — and backfilled some drift that had crept in between what was actually running and what was checked into the repo. Mostly cleanup and consolidation work rather than new features.
Also poked at listing active sessions as a quick check on what’s running.
Quiet day otherwise — no other personal projects touched.
